The coin’s reverse showcases a vibrant painting by renowned Aboriginal artist Chern’ee Sutton, a proud Kalkadoon woman. Her colorful design features an emu surrounded by three chicks. Additionally, a large yellow circle symbolizes the sun, while dots of yellow, orange, and red represent its powerful rays.

Moreover, the design includes a grey feather, reflecting emus’ practice of leaving feathers around nests. Green and brown arches depict mountains, and flowing blue lines illustrate rivers and tracks. Circles both inside and around these elements stand for waterholes, telling a deeper Dreamtime story.

Rich Symbolism and Unique Finish

A ‘P’ mintmark and the 2025 year-date complete the reverse artwork. Meanwhile, the obverse has been carefully antiqued, giving each coin its own unique surface, like an ancient artifact.
